We are looking to hire a highly efficient revenue cycle manager to oversee all tasks assigned to the revenue cycle department staff. The revenue cycle manager’s responsibilities include identifying patient reimbursement issues, ensuring that claims, denials, and appeals are efficiently processed, and resolving billing-related issues.

 To be successful as a revenue cycle manager, you should be able to manage both staff and patient complaints. Ultimately, a top-performing revenue cycle manager should seek ways to improve the functioning of the revenue cycle department.

  • Ensuring billing and compliance per federal and payor guidelines.
  • Supervising the revenue cycle department in various duties, such as account management, communications with insurance providers, collections, cash posting, contract analysis, and billing.
  • Managing staff performance by providing regular feedback, performance reviews, and one-on-one meetings.
  • Responsible for meeting departmental KPI’s, tracking staff productivity and timely completion of all RCM operational reports. 
  • Overseeing the hiring and training of staff, and accurately record time and attendance.
  • Efficiently managing patient complaints in respect of billing and collections.
  • Planning and structuring the department workflow and staffing.
  • 5 plus years in healthcare and Revenue cycle operations in a hospital or large Physician practices.
  • Understanding of Payor Guidelines and Regulatory Compliance
  • Working knowledge of billing, collection and revenue cycle operational functions including CMS 1500 claim forms, Payor policies, billing and appeals processes.
  • Planning and structuring the department workflow and staffing.

 

SPECIFIC SKILLS

  • Expert knowledge of third-party insurance procedures and collections, and reimbursements.
  • Expert knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 coding
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • High level of functional knowledge of Microsoft office products.
  • Maintains professional friendly attitude with patients and fellow employees.
  • Exercises discretion and integrity in dealing with confidential material.
