Position Summary: Immunotherapy Outreach Coordinator is responsible for working with patients for whom the physician recommends immunotherapy. Immunotherapy Outreach Coordinator is responsible for providing patients, families, and legal guardians with good faith cost estimates of healthcare services including immunotherapy extract and injections, as well as explaining the scheduling, process, duration, and protocols of immunotherapy allergy injections. This position may work with medical staff, insurance carriers, management, and ancillary departments to assist the order process and ensure timely and efficient delivery of extract to the office so that patient may begin immunotherapy (IT).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Availability to work Monday through Friday
- Understands, and communicates extract and injection cost and financial information, extract process, and injection schedule to patients, patient's families, and legal guardians with the purpose of offering accurate information required for patient to make informed decisions.
- Insurance verification and working prior authorizations when required by insurance carriers.
- Serves as a resource for staff and patients in need of beginning the IT process including contacting patients, passing on order information to Front Desk, tracking formulations as well as orders to and from mixing to office location, culminating to when/if the patient has their first injection.
- Identify patients that require early financial counseling intervention and coordinate the outcome via written and verbal communication to the appropriate Front Office staff and manager(s).
- Maintains patient confidentiality; complies with HIPAA and compliance guidelines established by SENTA

Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required and minimum 3 years healthcare experience required OR any combination of equivalent education and experience. Must have knowledge and skills consistent with one to three years of computer and data entry experience. Knowledge of standard clinic practices, policies and procedures. Ability to properly maintain records. Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and other managed care payors (HMO, PPO, etc.)
Language Ability: Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Write simple correspondence. Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees.
Bilingual/multilingual strongly preferred but not required.
Reasoning Ability: Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills: Must have knowledge and skills consistent with one to three years of computer and data entry experience.
