The Biologic Administrative Assistant is a dynamic role which provides administrative support to help streamline the biologic enrollment process. The Biologic Administrative Assistant works under direct supervision to ensure that biologic enrollment process is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Works closely with the Biologic Coordinator to help streamline the biologic enrollment process
- Communicates on the telephone professionally and pleasantly. Efficiently screens and direct calls and make appointments for the biologic process, as necessary
- Assist Biologic Coordinator in collecting all necessary documentation to complete timely and accurate submission of prior authorizations for biologics, as necessary
- Interacts with insurance companies, sales representatives, providers and patients as necessary
- Works directly with Biologic Coordinator to coordinate shipping, tracking, and inventory for biologics
- Re-verify existing patient insurance coverage as needed
- Communicates with specialty pharmacies, nurses and patients to track inventory for the biologic process
- Other duties as assigned
