Position Summary
The Allergy Team Lead serves as a working leader within the allergy department, maintaining full responsibilities as an Allergy Technician while providing day-to-day guidance, coordination, and support to the allergy team. This role helps ensure efficient clinic flow, accurate and timely allergy services, and consistent adherence to protocols. The Team Lead also plays a key role in managing inventory, supplies, and operational organization within the allergy department.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform all duties of an Allergy Technician, including allergy testing, injections, and patient care
- Provide day-to-day direction and support to allergy staff to ensure smooth clinic operations
- Serve as the first point of contact for team questions, workflow issues, and problem resolution
- Assist in coordinating daily schedules, patient flow, and staff assignments within the allergy department
- Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels of allergy supplies, extracts, and equipment
- Oversee ordering, stocking, and organization of supplies to prevent shortages or delays in care
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and documentation of allergy vials and related materials
- Support compliance with clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
- Assist with onboarding and training of new allergy staff, including competency validation
- Provide real-time feedback and coaching to team members to support performance and development
- Communicate effectively with providers, leadership, and other departments to ensure alignment
- Identify opportunities to improve workflow, efficiency, and patient experience within the allergy department
