This Position Will Have Responsibility For

  • Maintain and manage the monthly close checklist in Smartsheets and holding senior and staff accountants accountable for deadlines.
  • Managing expectations on team hours and scheduling to complete the monthly close process of six business days.
  • Implementation of best practices on processes and accounting policies
  • Ensuring accuracy in recording journal entries with both GAAP and tax reporting in mind to ensure account strings are correct and EBITDA adjustments, if applicable, are used appropriately.
  • Timely execution of certain finance integration tasks associated with acquisitions including loading of opening balance sheet, supporting the Finance Integration Lead on purchase accounting requests and net working capital settlements.
  • Design and implement internal controls over month end close including account reconciliations, reviewing of journal entries, enhancing supporting schedules for close.
  • Execute judgment and ensure the right decisions are reached to accurately report financial results.
  • Drive projects and provide accounting guidance and often serve as first point of contact for finance and business partners to resolve issues.
  • Dealing in ambiguity with the ability to reprioritize based on multiple business needs.
  • Manage physical inventories quarterly with operational staff to record and reporting periodic inventory adjustments.
  • Prioritization of tasks while providing active coaching to a team of talented individuals.
  • Research, conclude and memorialize technical accounting position papers.

 

EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting,
  • MBA Preferred
  • CPA Required (not state specific)
  • Healthcare accounting experience preferred

 

JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE:

  • 3+ years managing accounting or audit personnel
  • 2+ years public accounting experience
  • 1+ years in private equity owned company in finance related role
  • operational accounting experience with a high growth company

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
