Position Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at SENTA Partners plays a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in our ENT and Allergy clinics. The LPN works closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient and effective patient services. This position involves both direct patient care and administrative duties, contributing to the overall positive patient experience.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to patients under the supervision of physicians and registered nurses. 
  • Assist with patient assessments, including taking vital signs, recording medical histories, and preparing patients for examinations. 
  • Administer medications, injections, and other treatments as directed by the physician. 
  • Perform routine lab tests, collect specimens, and prepare samples for analysis. 
  • Assist with diagnostic tests, treatments, and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety. 
  • Educate patients and families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and care plans. 
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic health systems, ensuring documentation is complete and accurate. 
  • Prepare and maintain examination rooms, including cleaning and sterilizing instruments and equipment. 
  • Manage patient flow, scheduling, and follow-up appointments to support efficient clinic operations. 
  • Respond to patient inquiries, phone calls, and triage calls, providing appropriate guidance and information. 
  • Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and clinic efficiency. 
  • Maintain compliance with all healthcare regulations, including OSHA and HIPAA requirements. 
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care and effective communication.
